Bank Star is Hiring a Loan Administrator Near Pacific, MO

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for loan preparation, documentation, funding, and servicing. In addition, this position is responsible for timely and accurate loan documentation as in accordance with a credit approval, Bank Star’s Loan Policy, and regulatory guidelines. Loan Administrator ensures accurate distribution of loan funds and collateral perfection, file setup and scanning all credit and loan documentation to the banks document imaging software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Obtains all pre-closing documentation requirements, such as flood letters, title work, appraisals, entity documents, corporate searches, and credit bureau reports.
  • Completes internal checklists ensuring compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures with accuracy for all loan requests.
  • Reviews all pre-closing documentation.
  • Processes funding instructions per deal.
  • Records and performs collateral perfection.
  • Monitors and assists in clearing exception items.
  • Ensures data integrity.
  • Ensures that loan documentation follows all pertinent Federal and State regulations, and Bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Prepares loan documentation using LaserPro and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of the same. 
  • Reviews closed loan package to ensure no changes to loan documents were made at closing without approval per loan policy.
  • Books loans to the core banking system.
  • Processes loan payments, payoffs, extensions, and renewals.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing wire transfers and ACH entries.
  • Performs loan servicing, balancing, and reporting processes. .
  • Completes lien perfection.
  • Assists internal clients with product/ servicing process questions.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves client loan issues.
  • Recognizes product exceptions and collaborate with senior specialist or supervisor to resolve.
  • Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and comply with all regulations, policies, and law which apply and are within the scope of the position.
  • The loan administrator is responsible for imaging the loan files and maintaining a tickler system pertaining to the loans.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Requires a high school degree, previous banking experience, and a minimum five years related experience including extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to all loan types. In addition, it requires experience with general loan accounting transactions, commercial loan operations experience, strong independent thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy. This position requires personal computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word, Excel, and Outlook), LaserPro, and core bank systems. Excellent spelling, grammar, and interpersonal skills to be able to communicate in a courteous, professional, tactful and concise manner. Additionally, ability to prioritize workflow and handle shifting priorities/diverse responsibilities while meeting multiple deadlines in a fast –paced environment. Exhibits detail orientation skill and ability to be well organized.
